David L. Mefford
Biographical Information and Introduction

David L. Mefford

David Mefford is a favorite teacher and public speaker. His tongue in cheek humor and ability to look at issues from a different perspective have endeared him to audiences of all ages.  In his 35 year professional career, David has worked in construction, education, theater, and film.  He has been an actor, director, producer and technician for both theatre and film.

His projects have ranged from teaching students at Beverly Hills High School how to build sets for plays, to creating major motion pictures for CBS and A&M Films.  He has built scores of homes, from 1000 sq. ft starters, to homes over 30,000 sq. ft., costing over $30 million.

David worked for the March of Dimes as a fund-raiser and helped in the development of the National March of Dimes Telethon.  He also coordinated corporate sponsorships with 7-Eleven, Baskin Robbins and Skipper’s Fish & Chips.

During his career in the entertainment industry, he worked with The Lettermen, Maureen McGovern, Tony Orlando, Richard Dreyfus, Milton Berle, Ed Ames, Cathy Bates, Mickey Rourke, William Devane, Donna Mills and Pia Zadora, to name a few.   Many of his students now work professionally in the entertainment industry.  He also taught Monica Lewinski while she attended Beverly Hills High School.

David is at home with ordinary people as with celebrities, as comfortable tutoring one person as he is teaching 500.

His unique approach to organizational management creates positive behavior changes in his students. It is applicable to any person, place, or thing needing to 'get something done.'

David is married to Laurine Jackson. They have six children and six grandchildren.
